Welcome to St. Michael School! We are part of the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools, which includes six preschool - 6th grade elementary schools, one Junior High and one High School serving more than 2,400 students. The mission of our Catholic school is to form a community of faith and learning through Gospel values and academic excellence.
St. Michael School has a longstanding reputation for traditional academic rigor. The elementary curriculum of St. Michael School provides a solid foundation with clear expectations. We follow all State guidelines and all of our schools are fully accredited. Our quest to evaluate and update our programs to meet the needs of technology and changing times while providing the best learning environment for our students is something we continuously strive to do.
Our school offers a variety of preschool program options for children ages three to five. Flexible scheduling allows parents to choose from two to five mornings with an option to stay all day Monday through Friday. Students’ growth is fostered in a faith-filled, creative, and nurturing environment under the guidance of certified teachers. The preschool curriculum addresses age appropriate social skills, pre-reading, and reading readiness; language skills; mathematics; fine and gross motor skill development; art; technology; and music exploration.
Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade participate weekly in PE, Art, Choir, and Technology classes. Additionally, they are exposed to a variety of technology tools and activities in the S.T.E.M. lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and participate in weekly Genius Hour. Orchestra, band, praise band, praise singers, math Olympiads, Geography Bee, art hall of fame, and technology club are extracurriculars that you will find within our school. These purpose-driven learning environments have cultivated a multitude of personal learning experiences allowing students to showcase their various strengths and abilities.
